When cutting highly reflective precious metals, a standard straight laser line often isn’t enough; the melted metal can easily fuse back together. To prevent this, you must open the Advanced Menu in your laser software (like EZCAD) and select the Wobble feature.
When setting up your design vector in the software workspace, do not place the graphic at the exact dead center (0,0 coordinate).
Never place a thin gold or silver plate completely flat against a solid metal worktable when cutting. The intense heat will weld your precious metal right to the base plate!
