For different material we choose different gas. For example, stainless steel. We can use Oxygen or Nitrogen or compressed air.

For carbon steel, we can also use them. For the compressed air to cut. We can only use in thin plate cut. If too thick,it can not cut.

Like the ss material,within 2mm. And the carbon steel within 2mm. For different power laser source.  it can cut different thickness MS or SS.

We can use Nitrogen to cut most materials. For example alminum, brass, MS, SS. But it is very expensive. so many people don’t would like to use.

But what can we use to instead of Nitrogen? For example, compressed Air. We can use air to cut SS and MS.
