According to the different needs of customers for the quality and efficiency of thick stainless steel cutting, the laser technology application center of XT Laser Intelligent Equipment uses positive focus and negative focus respectively to cut stainless steel. By comparing and analyzing the cutting effect of the workpiece, the following conclusions are obtained:
Positive focus cut
When cutting stainless steel with a positive focus, the cutting is stable. It can be cut directly at right angles and is not easy to reverse blue light. Using 6000W power can achieve mass production of 20mm stainless steel, and 8000W power can achieve mass production of 25mm stainless steel, but the surface texture of the cutting surface is slightly rough. For carbon steel, it is suitable to use positive focus cutting. The focus position is above the surface of the sheet. Except for the bright surface cutting with a higher focus, other cuttings follow the rule that the greater the thickness, the higher the focus, but the height of the focus has a certain range , If it exceeds the scope, it will not cut well or even cut through.
When cutting 16mm carbon steel with a positive focus, if the focus is too high, melting stains will hang on the lower surface of the section; if the focus is too low, oxide scale will hang on the lower surface of the section.
Negative focus cutting
When cutting stainless steel, it is suitable for negative focus cutting. The focus position is below the surface of the plate, and the cutting surface has uniform texture and good cross-section, but when cutting at right angles, it is easy to reverse the blue light and the cutting ability is limited.
When cutting 8mm stainless steel with negative focus, if the focus is too high, hard slag will hang on the lower surface of the section; if the focus is too low, soft slag will hang on the lower surface of the section, and the blue light will be reversed during cutting, making it impossible to cut through.
Customers can choose the appropriate focus cutting method according to the different effects of positive and negative focus in cutting stainless steel and carbon steel, combined with their own processing needs.
