How to choose the suitable fiber laser matking machine?

There are differences when it comes to deciding UV laser marking machine or fiber laser marking machine, so here are the differences:

1.Processing technology:

Fiber laser marking machine: It uses a 1064nm laser wavelength, and it is suitable for the absorption of metals and some non-metals. Especially for marking high hardness, high melting point, and brittle materials, it has more advantages. And the processing range is very wide.

UV laser marking machine:  it uses a laser wavelength of 355nm, it is more precise than the fiber laser marking machine in marking effect. It has greater advantages for high melting point and low molecular weight. So it’s suitable for marking machine processing in high-end industries.

2. Laser power:

Fiber laser marking machine: The power-on fiber laser marking machine is the mainstream at 10W / 30W / 50W,

UV laser marking machine :mainstream is at 3W / 5W / 10W. The consumption of  UV marker is lower than that of fiber laser marker, the thermal effect is small, and the damage to the material is small.

3. Heat/cold processing

Fiber laser : It is heat processing. After the surface of the material is irradiated with a laser beam, the surface absorbs laser energy . It causes metamorphosis, melting, ablation, evaporation and other phenomena, so it produces traces of processing.

UV fiber laser:  UV rays are with very high loading energy, it can break chemical bonds in materials (especially organic materials) or surrounding media. To cause the material to be destroyed by non-thermal process, leaving traces of processing, so there will be no thermal impact.
