As you know, now in the market, mainly have Fiber laser, water Jet, Plasma for metal cutting, here attached comparison of Different type Cutting machine FYI (CNC router mainly for non-metal working, so please skip it).

Fiber laser cutting machine:

Advantages:

First,high precision, fast speed, narrow cutting seam, minimum heat affected zone, smooth cutting surface without burrs.          Second,the laser cutting head will not touch the surface of the material and will not scratch the workpiece.                                      And then,the processing flexibility is good, and any graphics can be processed,such as DXF,PLT.

Disadvantages:

As we mentioned before,purchasing cost is relatively high.

Water Jet cutting machine:

Advantages:

First,the water jet belongs to cold cutting, it does not produce thermal effect, deformation, slagging, ablation, and does not change the physical and chemical properties of the material.
Second,wide cutting range, strong versatility, almost all materials can be cut. Suitable for thick material cutting.

Disadvantages:

First,cutting carbon steel plate is easy to rust, which affects the appearance of the product.
Second,high maintenance cost;
Third,serious environmental pollution;
Then,the running cost is high, requiring a lot of water and sand;

Plasma cutting machine:

Advantages:

First,suitable for thick plate cutting.
Second,purchasing cost is lower.

Disadvantages:

Firstly,cutting thickness is roughness;
Secondly,during cutting,it will generate huge heat,material is easy to deform;
And cutting slit is big,about 3mm
Then plasma power consumption is quite powerful
Besides,the spare parts maintenance cost is high
Also,during cutting,it will produce the poisonous gas,and plasma arc is harmful to eyes,and sparks flying off in all direction,easy to hurt skin.
