Effect of gas pressure of fiber laser cutting machine on perforation

Fiber laser cutting machine must use auxiliary gas to process metal. The wider gases used in the auxiliary gas are nitrogen, oxygen and air, and air is an economical gas. Only one air compressor is required for stable air input.

The fiber laser cutting machine must use a protective gas during processing. Of course, air is a simple and economical protective gas. And the role of the air compressor is to supply compressed air and cutting gas with high purity oxygen and high purity nitrogen to the cutting head. One part is use as the power source to supply the air cylinder of the clamping table. The other part is used to purge and remove the dust in the optical path system.

The compressed air discharged from the air enters the gas control box through the gas storage tank and dryer. Then through a precision processing system, it is made into a clean and dry gas, which is divided into three ways, namely cutting gas, cylinder power source and positive pressure dust gas in the optical path to keep it excited. The normal operation of light-duty cutting machines.  So air compressors are necessary for every laser cutting equipment, and fiber laser cutting machines are also very important.

Effect of cutting gas pressure on perforation

1. When the gas pressure is too low, the laser does not easily penetrate the cutting plate, the drilling time increases, resulting in low productivity.

2. When the gas pressure is too high, the penetration point will melt, forming a larger melting point, which will affect the quality of the cut.

3. When laser drilling, generally use a higher gas pressure for punching thin plate parts, and use a specific punching method for punching thick plate parts, eliminating the disadvantages of low pressure on the protection of the lens.
